Corazón salvaje is a Mexican telenovela produced by Salvador Mejía Alejandre in conjunction with Televisa and broadcast on El Canal de las Estrellas. The telenovela debuted on 12 October 2009 at 9:00 pm, replacing Sortilegio, and aired for a total of 135 episodes. The final episode was broadcast on 16 April 2010, and the program was replaced with Soy tu dueña. In the United States, the telenovela debuted on 22 February 2010 at 9:00 pm on Univisión, again replacing Sortilegio. However, beginning on 26 April, the program was moved from prime time to the 12:00 midnight time slot.

The series began airing in the United States weeknights at 7pm on Telemundo on May 17, 2010.

Corazón salvaje is a Mexican telenovela, which was produced by and broadcast on Televisa in 1993. It was also broadcast on Galavisión and Univision in the United States later that year and again in 2003 as well as in Peru in 1993 and 1999, in Kenya on KTN and in Italy on Rete 4 in 1993 and on 7Gold and 2004. This is the third adaptation to date of the novel Corazón salvaje by Caridad Bravo Adams. The story was adapted by María Zarattini who changed the setting where the story takes place from Martinique to the port of Veracruz and the French surnames of the characters to Spanish surnames. The historical advisor for this telenovela was Jose Ruiz de Esparza who also advised the production of Alondra also starred by Ana Colchero in the title role. Eduardo Palomo played the roles of Francisco Alcázar and his grown-up son, "Juan del Diablo". Palomo sported long hair for the production and took advantage of the success of the telenovela debuted with an album sporting this look. Enrique Lizalde, who had the role of Juan del Diablo in the 1966 version, played the role of Juan's mentor in this production. In 2009, Aracely Arámbula and Eduardo Yáñez appeared in the remake of Corazón salvaje.

This telenovela was starred by singer Julissa while the 1977 production was starred by singer Angélica María who had previously had the role of Mónica in the 1968 film version. Actor Ernesto Alonso produced both telenovela versions. The role of Juan del Diablo went to Enrique Lizalde who, with Julissa, had previously starred in another Bravo Adams’ story, La mentira. This was the first starring role of Enrique Álvarez Félix, son of actress María Félix, in the role of the antagonist Renato Duchamp, the legitimate half-brother of Juan del Diablo. It was also the second time Jacqueline Andere co-starred with Enrique Lizalde, both being stage actors.
